THE MERCEDES-BENZ PLANT IN KECSKEMÉT DONATED FIRE EXTINGUISHING EQUIPMENT IN HUF 8 MILLION VALUE

Since it began operating, the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét has been supporting initiatives that take part in socially important matters, so it has been providing funds for the organization for catastrophe protection for several years. The company has raised an amount of more than HUF 8 million to purchase equipment as a donation for the Firefighters’ Association of Bács-Kiskun County.

MERCEDES-BENZ WILL BUILD A SECOND PLANT IN KECSKEMÉT

Mercedes-Benz will build its second plant in Kecskemét, where the production of both front- and rear-wheel-drive layout cars as well as of alternative powered models will be possible in the spirit of Industry 4.0. Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. will create 2500 new jobs at the new plant, a lot more in the suppliers’ line and in factories working in Germany.

World-famous social psychology professor Dr. Philip Zimbardo, who is also the co-founder of the initiative “Heroes’ Square”, gave a lecture to the employees of the Mercedes-Benz plant in Kecskemét. The initiative “Heroes’ Square” launched from San Francisco with the objective of getting more and more people do more and more often for others, emphasizing the need for everyday heroism.
